The art of living is the art of dying.

Let go and receive – heart wide open.

The art of living

Breathing in the grace of a heartbeat
A breath
A blink of the eyes

Taking in the gift of a voice
That speaks my name
That laughs from the depth of the body

Receiving and giving the joy of a touch
A hug that welcomes me in
That welcomes the other
That says You are wanted
I am wanted

The gift of the pain of losing
That opens me to the richness of every moment
To the preciousness of eyes that look at me
To the blessing of someone seeking my presence
To the joy of someone longing to give me their presence

The art of living is the art of dying
Allowing things to be
Allowing things to pass
Allowing the overflow of gratitude

Let go and receive
Heart wide open

Open Arms

You know the way – I know you do
My beautiful soul, and I’d know it, too
If I found the courage to listen
To the silence that speaks it all

Your knowing is boundless, intricately weaving
The very fibres of my being into delicate song
I’d hear it, too, if I found the courage to listen
To the silence that sings it all

And you asked me to dance and held out your hand
With a love that nothing in me can withstand
And with beauty and poise we created a dance
Of a life lived with open arms

Decisions and choices
People and voices
They all have something to say
But when everything fades
Only one thing prevails
And that’s the music that holds it all

I know the way – I know I do
My beautiful friend, and you’d know it, too
If you found the courage to listen
To the music and love that is all

And Life asks us to dance and holds out her hand
With a love that nothing in us can withstand
And with beauty and poise we’re creating a dance
Of lives lived with open arms

Who would you be?

Where would you be if your heart took flight
And led you to places unknown?

Where would you go if your Yes took hold of your life,
Your Yes to the things yet to grow?

If you allowed the Knowing deep inside
To love into being who you truly are

If you invited possibility to sprout
In the soil of your mind that so far you had watered with doubt

What would you birth into existence, inspired by Spirit, led by Love, grown in faith,
And gifted to this world through your labour and longing?

Most of all

Who would you have become
Through your Yes to the calling?

Transition

Between beginning and end lies the end as beginning

Be in it

Begin it

Befriend it

Be tempted

To end it

And attempt it

Attentive

And effective

Affirmative

And positive

That the end

Takes you further

Than you thought

You could go

So know

That

In the end

You begin it

For life

Is unending

And ever beginning
